High Fructose Gel provides 55g of carbohydrate and 250 mg of sodium per gel, which come from maltodextrin and fructose, with a 10:8 ratio.
This formulation based on “multi-transportable carbohydrates” has been shown through studies* that in prolonged exercises the use of carbohydrates that are absorbed in the intestine by different transporters is the only way to increase the rate of assimilation and oxidation of exogenous carbohydrates above 60 g/hour*.
To achieve this, research confirms that the ideal is to combine sources of carbohydrates. We have chosen Maltodextrin, to control the molecular weight/osmolarity, and the other has to be Fructose.
