On this gravel bikepacking route, we travel around the island crossing forest tracks, dream trails and secondary roads, connecting the lush forests of the north with the untamed west coast.
From the Northern Forests to the Chinyero Volcano: A Changing Landscape Riding gravel in Tenerife is the closest thing to changing continents every few hours. The route takes us to discover spectacular contrasts: from the humidity and intense green of the northern forests to the lunar image of the lava fields that surround the Chinyero volcano.
Along the way, natural viewpoints become obligatory stops to contemplate the ocean, while we cross small towns full of charm where time seems to have stopped. Away from traffic and hustle and bustle, the terrain demands attention but more than rewards every pedal stroke.
