The “Must-Do” Road Tour in Tenerife All the smooth roads and never-ending climbs you’re looking for in Tenerife. We skip the busy morning traffic with a quick van transfer to start in La Camella, where the roads gently rise to the viewpoint of La Centinela and lead to the panoramic road of “El Roque” with a 13 km climb to Vilaflor, the highest village in Tenerife.
After a coffee-and-cake stop at a local bar, we tackle the final 12 km climb from the village to El Retamar at 2,150 meters of altitude. At the top, we regroup and get ready for the descent into “La Caldera,” a volcanic plateau where the iconic silhouette of Teide and its stunning rocky landscapes accompany us to the famous El Parador, here the best teams of the UCI circuit often stay during their winter
reparations.
It’s then time to return, repeating the last 16 km back to Vilaflor before
switching to one of the best downhill roads in Tenerife. 13 km of funny smooth downhill to Granadilla,to fly back to La Camella and finish the ride. Atotal of 95km and 2.300 meters of climb for the records.
