This advanced-level tour combines gravel and tarmac to explore one of Tenerife’s most fascinating landscapes. Covering 76 km with 1,700 meters of climbing, it’s designed for experienced
riders looking for a rewarding challenge. Starting from the charming mountain village of Vilaflor at 1,500 meters above sea level, we begin with a short tarmac section leading to the gravel trail of Madre del Agua. We’ll tackle a steady climb through pine forests and vast canyons, including a brief hiking section, all the way up to 2,300 meters. Here, we’ll reach the stunning volcanic area near the Izaña Astrophysical Observatory.
From there, we ride along the smooth, scenic road across the crater, cycling alongside the majestic peak of Teide until we arrive at Boca Tauce. After a short climb, we’ll enjoy a long, flowing descent back to Vilaflor, where the tour concludes.
